>BWOA Annual Meeting has been rescheduledWednesday, March 30, 2011 at the Brant Rod and Gun Club.
The Brant County Woodlot Owners Association will hold its annual meeting at the Brant Rod and Gun Club on Wednesday, March 23, 2011. The meeting will run from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Membership is $40.00 per year, but non-paying guests will be welcome at the meeting. We will have a number of speakers including Kathy Hodgins of the Brant Stewardship Network and Wade Knight of the Ontario Woodlot Association. There will also be a winter tree bud identification activity.

The BWOA was formed in 1996 to provide a forum to exchange knowledge and experience in woodlot management between Brant County, Ontario landowners and industry professionals. We are affiliated with the Ontario Woodlot Association.
The BWOA is a member of the Brant Resource Stewardship Network. The network’s objectives are to:
- Create awareness of the value and methods of responsible resource management pertaining to the Brant community.
- Facilitate community-based projects that demonstrate and instill an appreciation of responsible land care practices in the community.
- Foster community responsibility in utilizing land use practices and principles that protect and enhance resource values for the benefit of the landowner, the environment and the community.
- Build capacity within the community for “self help” in caring for its land and resources.
